Physician Assistant Ryane Cordero is a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she received a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies following a University of Texas Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Ryane is licensed as a physician assistant by the state of Texas Medical Board and is certified by the National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants. She volunteers her time as a regular provider at the Nix Sports Medicine Clinic, founded by Jesse C. DeLee, M.D. who is co-editor of DeLee & Drez’s Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. These Saturday morning clinics provide orthopaedic evaluations and treatment to area student athletes as a service to the community.
Ryane is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Texas Academy of Physician Assistants. She has passed her Texas Physician Assistant Jurisprudence Exam and has been certified as a provider, Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support by the American Heart Association. In addition, she has volunteered her time to perform physicals for Girls Scouts of America, to educate South Texas high school students at the Allied Health Fair and Science Expo and to perform blood pressure and other health-related checks for the San Fernando Health & Safety Fair.
